Create Linux desktop shortcuts from portable binaries or web apps (PWA) without
opening a terminal.Highlights
- Executable shortcuts — copies the binary to
~/.local/bin/, installs the icon,
writes the.desktopentry (ELF, AppImage, or script with a shebang). - Web app / PWA shortcuts —
--app=<url>for Chromium-based browsers (Chrome,
Chromium, Brave, Edge, Vivaldi, Helium, including Flatpak builds),--new-window
for Firefox. - Shortcut location — checkbox for Application menu and/or Desktop
(desktop-only entries are hidden from the menu withNoDisplay=true). - Icons — pick a file, or search in the Icon from the internet dialog: by app
name (Iconify), by website (mikrotik.com→ the site's own manifest /
apple-touch-icon / favicon, up to 512 px), or by pasting an image URL. Every icon is
converted to PNG (SVG, webp, gif, bmp, ico, jpeg) and remembers its source, so the
sync icon button can fetch it again later. - Manage — list installed shortcuts, run them, open their folder, sync the icon,
uninstall (optionally deleting the copied binary); entries whose.desktopfile was
removed by hand are marked. - Auto update — checks the latest release a few seconds after start and can install
it and restart (delta updates viaAppImageUpdate/zsync when available, otherwise a
verified atomic swap of the AppImage). - Desktop integration — uses the host cursor theme (KDE/GNOME setting), refreshes
the menu withupdate-desktop-database+kbuildsycoca, UI in English or Indonesian.
